Add asthma to the NHS prescription exemption list

Petition Details

Add asthma to the NHS prescription exemption list and review the list, which has not been properly updated for nearly 60 years, so people with asthma can receive free prescriptions for essential inhalers.

Additional Information

Asthma is a long-term condition requiring ongoing treatment. The exemption list has not been properly updated since 1968. Some conditions such as diabetes qualify for free prescriptions, but asthma does not. It is unfair people must pay for inhalers needed to breathe.
