Improve access to information on sexual offender risk in Scotland
I want the Government to improve how people can access and understand information about sexual offender risk in their community. This should include clearer, more accessible systems that allow individuals to recognise and assess potential risk, rather than relying on limited or reactive information.
Many people do not feel informed enough to protect themselves. Current systems are often unclear, reactive, and difficult to access, leaving individuals and communities unsure how to recognise or respond to risk. Improving access to clear, usable information would help people feel more informed, confident, and able to make safer decisions.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
I'm sorry for the delay in getting back to you. This area of policy is complicated by the presence of devolved powers and functions. I have checked with policy experts in the House of Commons Library and this matter is effectively devolved to the Scottish Government so we cannot accept it here.
You may wish instead to seek to open a petition on this matter at the Scottish Parliament: petitions.parliament.scot/
