Make the Pedestrianised Area and Alleyway Near Whitby Road, Brislington Safe
Residents are deeply concerned about the safety of the pedestrianised area near Whitby Road at the bottom of Bloomfield Road, as well as the adjacent alleyway. Despite clear “No Entry” signs for motorbikes, delivery drivers continue to ride through both the pedestrianised area and the alleyway.
This space is heavily used by pedestrians, children on scooters and bikes and cyclists. We have witnessed several near misses involving motorbikes and children, creating a high risk of serious accidents.
We therefore urge the council to take immediate action by installing physical barriers, such as:
-Planters or raised bollards
-Low fencing or other deterrents
These measures would prevent motorbikes from entering while still allowing access for maintenance or emergency vehicles.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
This is not a matter or the Government or for Parliament but for the local council and we are therefore not able to accept this petition as it is not about a national policy matter.
