Stop Black Box Monitoring on Motability Cars
The Motability Scheme exists to support disabled people’s independence, wellbeing, dignity, and freedom — not to create additional pressure or restrictions. We urge the Motability Scheme and relevant partners to review these policies and put disabled customers’ rights and choices first.
This petition calls for fairness, transparency, and customer choice. We are asking the Motability Scheme and relevant organisations to introduce a clear opt-out option for telematics and smart driving systems, provide greater transparency around data collection and usage, and ensure that disabled customers are never unfairly judged or penalised based on monitored driving data. We also ask for a wider range of non-monitored vehicles to remain available within the scheme.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
This is a matter for the Motability Scheme, not the UK Government or Parliament.
