Our Street Left Behind - Full Fibre Broadband for the street removed from plans.
Residents of Beechwood Avenue, Rutherglen were removed from Openreach full fibre plans due to private land access issues. Nearby streets already have ultrafast fibre while our community has been left behind with outdated slower broadband. We call for equal broadband access for our street.
Beechwood Avenue in Rutherglen was originally included in Openreach plans for full fibre broadband. However, due to issues accessing private land, our street was removed from the rollout. Nearby streets already have ultrafast fibre while our community has been left behind with outdated slower broadband. In 2026, reliable internet is essential for education, work, healthcare and communication. We believe our street deserves equal access to modern broadband infrastructure.
