Ensure equal pay for Royal Mail postal workers across the UK
We want the UK Government to work with Royal Mail to ensure fair and equal pay for postal workers across the UK, including better wages that reflect workload, rising living costs, and the essential service posties provide to communities.
Postal workers provide an essential service in all weather conditions and often work long hours under increasing pressure. Many posties feel their pay no longer reflects the workload, rising cost of living, or the importance of the job to communities across the UK.
We believe the UK Government should work with Royal Mail to support fair and equal pay for postal workers, helping to improve staff retention, morale, and working conditions while protecting reliable postal services for the public.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Notwithstanding the Government's Golden Share in Royal Mail and its strategic oversight over elements of its operations, rates of pay are not the responsibility of the Government.
