Level the Pitch: Improve Medical Support for Female Footballers.
Fund better rehabilitation and training to strengthen weaker muscles to prevent unnecessary injuries that put a halt on their football career.
Women's medical care in football lags behind men's. Female players are 2-6 times more likely to suffer ACL injuries. Despite this, men's teams have a higher proportion of dedicated orthopaedic surgeons. FIFA benchmarking found fewer than 10-16% of women’s professional clubs globally had access to dedicated female health specialists. However, men's professional setups are highly resourced. Injuries often stem from inadequate gear- eg. football boots are largely engineered for male biomechanics.
