Lower Parking Permit Costs - WALTHAM FOREST
We call on Waltham Forest Council to:
Reduce resident parking permit prices;
Cap future annual increases;
Review the fairness of second-vehicle charges; and
Consult residents before introducing major price rises.
Waltham Forest should reduce residents’ parking permit costs and stop excessive yearly increases. Recent increases have made parking permits increasingly unaffordable. Residents should not face continual steep increases simply to park outside their own homes. While encouraging green transport is important, current permit charges unfairly penalise working families and households without realistic alternatives to car use. Parking outside your home should remain affordable for local residents.
