mandate helmet use for cyclist, scooter and e-bike riders
It's a nightmare that no grandparent ever wants to experience - watching their grandchild fall off their bike without a helmet , resulting in a rushed trip to A&E. Unfortunately, this is reality and how crucial it is to ensure the safety of every child on the road and pavements needs highlighting.
Head injuries are one of the leading causes of serious injury for cyclists, scooter and e-bike users, especially among children. According to the NHS, wearing a bike helmet reduces the risk of head injury by up to 85%
Despite the clear benefits of helmet use, its alarming that the UK doesn't have a law mandating helmets for cyclist, scooter and e-bike users, implementing such a law will not only significantly reduce the number of tragic accidents involving children, but also foster a culture of a lifetime of safety
