Give NHS locum workers inside IR35 statutory sick pay and holiday pay.
We require NHS locum workers who work inside IR35 to receive statutory sick pay and paid annual leave. Many locum healthcare workers are taxed similarly to employees under IR35 rules but work under zero-hours arrangements without equivalent workplace protections or employment benefits.
Many NHS locum healthcare workers are placed inside IR35 and taxed similarly to employees, despite working on temporary or zero-hours contracts without equivalent employment protections. Many receive no statutory sick pay, little or no paid annual leave, no guaranteed hours, no redundancy protection, and no long-term job security. Many locum workers also face deductions covering employer National Insurance contributions in addition to paying income tax and employee National Insurance.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We cannot accept your petition as it calls for action on something which the UK Government or Parliament is not responsible. In this instance it would be up to the employer to make such arrangements.
You could start a new petition calling for the Government to legislate to ensure statutory sick pay and holiday pay is paid to all locum workers.
