Remove all religious exemptions from knife carrying laws
Remove all religious exemptions from UK knife carrying laws under the Criminal Justice Act 1988 and Offensive Weapons Act 2019. No exemptions based on religion. One equal law for all citizens. Current exemption undermines public safety and creates unequal application knife carrying laws.
I petition Parliament to remove all religious exemptions from UK knife carrying laws under the Criminal Justice Act 1988 and Offensive Weapons Act 2019. Currently, an exception is given on the ground of religious beliefs, creating unequal application of the law. One equal law for all citizens regardless of faith. This is about public safety and equality. The current exemption undermines knife crime prevention efforts.
