No 2026 Dr Who Christmas Special? Ace the BBC fee.
We call on the Government to cancel the BBC license fee if the corporation fails to broadcast a Doctor Who Christmas Special in 2026.
Doctor Who is a national treasure uniting generations. The BBC promised a 2026 Christmas Special; if they fail to deliver, their viewer licensing must be removed.
Doctor Who is an irreplaceable British national treasure. Running since 1963, it unites literal generations of families. The public actively debates everything from the writing and next casting choices to the current iteration—even when navigating thinly veiled misogyny online. The fundamental truth is that people care, and almost everyone has an opinion.
The public should not be legally forced to pay a mandatory fee while our most enduring cultural export is left to languish.
