Exemptions for Carrying Bladed Weapons/any weapons in Public

Petition Details

No matter what your religion in this country we do not accept weapons being carried on a person. UK laws need to be respected and consequences must be had if these are not adhered to.
2 tier policing must be abolished and the same rule for all

Additional Information

The UK does not allow members of the public to carry bladed articles/weapons on a person. This should be adhered to by everyone living within the UK regardless of religion

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.

You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.

You may wish to sign this petition, which calls for similar action: “Ban carrying religious, cultural & ceremonial bladed & pointed items in public” petition.parliament.uk/petitions/770412
