Fund GP practice in England adequately to avoid having to charge patients

Petition Details

GP's will be balloted on a means tested approach to patient appointments.

The Government needs to get round the table with the BMA and seriously engage in how to tackle this problem without charging the general population for healthcare.

Additional Information

GP's in England will be balloted on a 'Plan B' that would allow GP's freedom to provide private services. This includes a proposed 'means tested' approach to appointments whereby patients are charged.
The BMA feels that these drastic measures need to be considered to keep GP practice afloat.

The NHS was meant to be free

The Health Secretary needs to get round the table with the BMA and seriously engage in how to tackle this problem without charging the general population for healthcare.
