Give Steve Backshall a Knighthood

Petition Details

This petition is being written for the purpose of granting Steve Backshall, most famous for his CBBC show Deadly 60 and its off shoots as well as his general role as a nature communicator.

Additional Information

Steve Backshall being granted a knighthood is something that i'm surprised hasn't occured already, as his role as a naturalist, communicator, role model and overall hero to many people who grew up in the 2000s and 2010s. While he was granted an MBE, his effective status as my generation's David Attenborough makes it more than appropriate that he be given a knighthood for his service to the environment and spreading awareness of environmental issues to a wide audience.
