Pigeon on the new £5 bank note
The pigeon hasn’t been added to the shortlist to vote on for the new British bank notes, and they should be.
Pigeons are too often treated like vermin, when in reality they were domesticated then abandoned by humans. Pigeons such as GI Joe and Cher Ami and so many others throughout history saved human lives with their dedication and loyalty. Give them the respect they deserve.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Bank notes are the responsibility of the Bank of England, which is independent of the Government and Parliament.
