Open London Stadium Track for Schools, Clubs and Public Athletes
We call on Government and the Mayor of London to open the London Stadium track for regular public use, schools, clubs and monthly open meets. The Olympic legacy is being underused while access remains limited under exclusive arrangements. This facility must serve grassroots sport year-round
The London Stadium athletics track was built for the 2012 Olympics with public funding and was intended to create a lasting sporting legacy. However, access for local athletes, schools and community groups remains limited.
We are calling on the UK Government and Mayor of London to improve public access through regular community sessions, monthly open meets, and affordable use for clubs and schools so the Olympic legacy truly benefits grassroots sport.
