Petition Action

Require drivers to stop and report when they hit a cat on the road "Poppies Law"

Petition Details

Under "Poppies Law" drivers would stop safely and report the accident, take the injured cat to a near by vets, who'd notify the owners

This would help injure cats get treatment sooner, reducing suffering from being left and injured

Cats are part of the family, so lets give them some dignity.

Additional Information

We call on the UK Government to change the law so that any driver who knows, or reasonably believes, they have struck and injured or killed a cat must stop and report the incident, just as they are currently required to do for dogs, horses, cattle and certain other animals under road traffic legislation.

For many families, cats are beloved companions and cherished members of the family.

Drivers should stop to assist the cat ???? they've hit and take responsibility.
