Petition Action

Parents and guardians reasonable for their children’s action until 18 years old

Additional Information

This e-petition is to ask parliament to debate parent and guardian responsibility for their children.

Rather than locking up young offenders which never works or giving ASBO's for social misbehaviour, the parent should be charged and made to do community service with their child.

They should also repay damages that the child has caused and meet the victims of the child’s crime with the child present.

The child and parent/guardian should also be made to do creative activities together and where necessary counselling for parents should be given on how to be good parents.
