I propose an alternative solution; Involuntary overseas service - have them build hospitals and schools in Iraq and Afghanistan or even the Sudan and similar countries - the benefits are clear - the trouble makers are far away, they will be learning just how good it is in this great country of ours by comparison, They will learn the real nature of the world and how harsh it can be, let them see firsthand children injured, perhaps missing a limb or 2 & starving - then ask them how hard done to they are in England?
