Allow unemployment benefits to be distributed through vouchers
This petition is designed to encourage unemployed able bodied members of the public to get back into work, whilst at the same time making sure that only essential items are purchased, and that the tax payer is paying only for what is necessary.
When you hear of stories of unemployed members of the public spending their unemployment benefit funded by the tax payer on items that the majority would consider unnecessary, it understandably angers the tax payer, however if the people receiving this money could only buy certain necessary items, then that would eliminate this problem.
Furthermore, this would also encourage unemployed members of the public to get back into work, so that they can have control over what they spend their money on, instead of being allocated vouchers for essential goods and services.
