Petition Action

Authorising Police use of less than letha force vs rioters

Additional Information

Petitioners accept that the police may use "less lethal options" with the desired effect being to control and neutralise the current threat posed by rioting in our cities without recourse to lethal use of force.

Petitioners also accept that the outcome of such use of "less lethal options" versus the rioting citizens may on occasion be lethal, as the historical record shows that whichever non-lethal weapon you may consider there have always been fatalities associated with it.
