Empower regisrars to wed couples legally anywhere
We petition the government to review the marriage act and change to system more akin to other leading democratic countries.
A system where the registrar is individually registered and can act like a celebrant to legally marry couples at any location - provided it is safe and have the permission of the land owner.
This will have the added benefit of minimising money leaving the UK monetary system as couples that go abroad to get married so that they can legally get married in a location they are both happy with- beach for example- would now be able to marry in the UK.
You can't sign this petition because it is now closed. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
