Evening Curfew for Under 16 Yeat Olds
We the undersigned call upon the UK Government to introduce a mandatory curfew for unaccompanied under 16 year olds. Accompanied means in the company of an 18 year old adult who is seen to be acting responsibly.
Any unaccompanied person(s) under the age of 16 who is seen by a Police Officer in a public area should have their name and address taken. The Police Officer should then escort that person(s) to the given address.
If the address given is incorrect or has no adult family member/guardian present then the matter should be reported to the local Children's Services Department for investigation.
The curfew should operate between 22:00 and 6:00 Hrs. 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Parents/guardians of children breaching curfew more than twice should be liable to an on the spot fine of £50.
