Tracking Manifesto Commitments
The government should organise and submit to a review every 6 months on their performance towards achieving manifesto commitments on which basis they were voted into office.
The review would take the form of:
a) Broadcast on TV & Radio
b) Widely respected & impartial chairman
c) Attended by Prime Minister & Coalition Leader(s)
d) Government ministers representing the responsible department(s)
e) A statement of each commitment
f) Written Questions submitted in advance by the public on each manifesto commitment.
g) Presentation of official statistics published by respected institutions.
h) Opposition parties represented for cross-examination of ministers
i) A studio audience
j) Feedback from the studio audience
k) An internet based feedback system for the general public including voting systems on each topic and overall government performance.
l) Publication of content & voting results in national newspapers as well as TV and radio.
