Credit Scoring to be fairer, and government run

Additional Information

How can it be legal for a private American company such as experian (credit expert) to log financial information for every and any UK citizen? information that is often incorrect.

A bad credit rating can be passed from 1 company to Experian, without the person involved even being notified, or having a fair 'trial' in disputed cases. This can then hugely disrupt this person life, it can prevent this person buying a home, car, or even a mobile phone.

No private company should legally hold a person personal financial information without their consent.

Whilst I recognise the need for a credit history, the current system needs to be fairer, and should be government run.

Every person also should have the right to freely view their credit score and dispute any of that information.

As it stands, you can only view your OWN credit score by paying a subscription to experian.
