Convicted Rioters Increase in Council Tax to Pay for Damage Caused

I would like to see the Government increase the Council Tax contributions of every convicted rioter to go some way towards paying for the damage that they have wrought upon their local communities.

Council Tax is one of the few things that everyone pays, and it seems that this would be the most efficient way of ensuring a financial contribution is made from each and every rioter (if the rioters are still legally considered to be minors then the charge should be met by their parents of legal guardians).

People need to learn that you cannot simply go about doing as you please without consequence. Make those responisble for the shameful mess that has ruined (and cost) lives over the last few days bear a financial burden for their disgraceful behaviour.
