Benefits to be replaced by food tokens
People on Job Seekers Allowance and/or Child Benefit should only receive redeemable food tokens instead of the cash payments.
The food stamps would only be redeemable for fresh fruit and vegetables, and any 'luxury items' such as alcohol or cigarettes would be exempt for redemption.
This is to act as an incentive for people to find jobs, and ensure that the tokens are used on their children instead of spending it on drugs and alcohol.
