Petition Action

Abolish Crown Copyright and place all government works in the Public Domain

Additional Information

The government should replace the Crown Copyright on both existing and future works with a Public Domain dedication, as is currently done in the United States.

This would make it easier for people to share and make use of government works, and would help to encourage creativity by providing a wider range of source materials.

It would also allow for accurate government information to be used wholesale, rather than he use of potentially biased or inaccurate analyses and summaries written by third parties.
