All minimum sentences currently listed on the Statute Book should be trebled

Additional Information

Government legislation currently prescribes minimum sentences for various criminal offences. It is clear that these do not act as a sufficient deterrent. This petition calls on the government to immediately treble the length of all minimum sentences. For example, if a minimum sentence of one year has been incorporated into legislation then this should immediately be increased to three years.
