Petition Action

Compulsory 20 hours per week community service for all fit unemployment benefit claimers

Additional Information

All those claiming unemployment benefit that are fit to work should undertake 20 hours per week compulsory community service. This will promote individuals to give something back to society, keep them occupied, give them a sense of worth and allow the opportunity to integrate with potential employers. A signed form should be submitted each week as proof that satisfactorily completed community work has been undertaken prior to any weekly benefit being granted to the individual.
