The maximum wage for workers in the public sector of 15 times minimum adult wage
The government should be a maximum wage that a person whose income is derived directly from taxes or levies e.g. state taxes, TV license etc. This would include civil servants, local authority workers including the CEO, BBC employees both full time staff and so called "talent", quango employees, police, judges, doctors.
The maximum would be set at 15 times the minimum adult wage, this would give a maximum income of about £190,000 per year assuming a 40 hour week.
The legislation would need to be drawn up carefully to ensure that organisations such the BBC cannot use non-standard contracts to pay "talent" more.
