Vouchers instead of cash to lead people to make a responsible decision as to where their benefits go.
Replace giving money out in the way of cash to claimants of job seekers allowance.
This proposal is for the replacement of money by vouchers.
These vouchers can be redeemed with a valid I.D and they can not be used to purchase alcohol, fast food products etc as to assist individuals make an informed choice.
This will be of particular use to families with children as eating healthily is not usually cost effective if you have limited funds. By making vouchers that are redeemable at many outlets it would help many smaller businesses as well as save money. This would not be to entirely remove cash money from benefits as there are other conflicting circumstances but this would reduce the amount of disposable income and lead to people making a responsible decision as to where their benefits go.
